Having a design background, I have always appreciated paper from its different weights, its textures, and its colors. I also like anything that will help me with my productivity by saving me time.
In my web travels, I found an awesome site that lets me print out free templates on my favorite paper. How awesome is that? The website, GeneratedPaper.com has a wide variety of templates available for your printing pleasure. And even better, in case I haven’t mentioned, they’re free. The website touts having over 40 different template styles that are downloadable in PDF format.
When visiting the website, you’ll note that there are eight categories of paper designs to choose from. These include:
- Graph and Grid
- Children
- Games
- Wireframing
- Design
- Music
- Language
- Calendar
Each one of these categories has different designs that are suitable for particular purposes. For instance, the Graph and Grid category features a variety of ruled and graph paper templates. They’ve also got some other unique designs for printing. The Children category has templates for learning how to write, language learning, and more. And did I mention that these are free?
If you’re a designer and need to quickly mockup a design, they offer several product templates including the iPhone and iPad in their Wireframing section. Are you a musician? Yeah, they have paper designs for that too.
Another great feature of the Generated Paper site is the ability to customize some of the designs based on paper size or layout. For instance, you can customize your graph paper grid to a specific size of your choosing. Neat.
And for those of us who still like paper calendars, they have a few of those templates available to help you keep on top of your schedule for the week or month.
Generated Paper is a great site for providing tools that will save you time and in some instances money. Can you imagine if you ran out of lined paper and needed some right away? No need to run to your local office supply store as you can print what you need quickly and conveniently.
I always marvel at what what kinds of treasures I’ll find on the Internet. GeneratedPaper.com is a valuable resource for anyone who uses paper, and if you’re like most people, you probably do. Unless you’re Jamie Todd Rubin who is going paperless with the help of Evernote. But that’s a post for another day.
